Arion was born on our property on May 22, 2020. I stayed up all night waiting for him. The first night, his mom, our mare Baretta, did not want me to get close. After that, she was fine with it. My kids, who were 3 and 4 at the time, could even get close to him. He was born with such a sweet and loving disposition and just loved all three of us right away. We were constantly in his pen building a relationship with him and honestly, we couldn't get enough of his cuteness. As he grew, he never became mean or feisty or anything that made me worry about one of my kids being out there with him. One day, when he was just a two year old and my daughter was 6, she crawled up the panels of his pen, climbed on his back, and just laid there on him, cuddling and petting his face. I did not know this at the time and couldn't find my daughter and got worried, so I did go to check the horses because I know how much she loves to be around them. When I saw this site, it warmed my heart so much. My daughter didn't know that I was watching the two of them, but Arion heard me and looked toward me and kind of gave me a look like, “Just let me enjoy my time with my girl for a bit.” So, I watched from afar and enjoyed every minute of it. I already knew before then that he was definitely a keeper, but that sealed the deal right there. He is now six and his nickname is Lover. He is such a good boy! Also, after all these years of me riding, he is so different from any horse I have owned or trained, that he is teaching me new things as a rider and I am loving it! I love the time I get to spend with him! He also has this cute little quirk about him. Arion likes to stick his tongue out of the side of his mouth and chew on it sometimes. He looks silly doing it, but the funny thing is that I chew on my tongue when I write, type, or concentrate on certain things. As a matter of fact, I am doing it right now. Arion was just really meant to be my horse and a part of our family. He brings my kids and me so much joy in our lives and lots of love in our hearts! I love Arion so much and couldn't imagine life without him!
